Bodywork

 Bodywork is a treatment to increase flexibility, pliability, and suppleness of the soft tissues of the body.  Different than a massage, bodywork is more focused on specific releases of the tissue. It reduces pain and improves movement by bringing blood flow, oxygen, and nutrients back to overused and blood-restricted areas of the body that lead to taught, tight, and tender muscles and restricted motion.

Dr. Devan utlizes Manual Therapy Techniques including: MFR (Myofascial Release) ART & FDM (Fascial Distortion Model)

 

Pilates

Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. The system allows for exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginner to advanced, and also in terms of the  practitioner’s specific goals and/or limitations.
